The Carpet One Floor & Home Regional Network Group in Southern California recently raised over $10,000 for the Stephen Siller Tunnel to Towers Run in Newport Dunes, CA on Sunday September 10th.

The Regional Network Group of Southern California is one of 38 groups like it across the country, and consists of 28 different member stores from the Carpet One Floor & Home cooperative.

The group was approached about the run back in May,and was very excited and decided to support at the highest level of commitment as a major sponsor. They ended up being the largest sponsor of the event.

Doug Wilson, the coordinator of the Southern California Regional Network Group, and owner of Add’s / JSS Carpet One Floor & Home in Bellflower, CA said, “It’s been a busy ride, lots of planning and meetings, but with the event completed we have met our goals and we are pleased with the outcome. In fact we are looking toward doing it again next year and helping this event to grow into one of Stephen Siller Tunnel to Towers’ Foundation’s major fundraisers.

Not only did the whole RNG participate financially in this, several stores volunteered on the day of the race and we even got some of our suppliers to help out. It is exhilarating to see the Carpet One family band together for a cause that is important to not only Carpet One but to the Veterans and families that are affected. It’s an awesome feeling to know we are doing good!”
